In my last blog we talked about data privacy, today we”ll talk about the digital world. To regular literate people, when we hear the word digital we automatically think computer technology. Almost every one has digital literacy today; ALMOST everyone. According to Mr Eyman that is correct, but so is writing, mores code and braille. So in reality digital is different forms of communication. Seeing that we do not only use computers to communicate, digital covers a wide range. The one that surprises me the most (even-though it makes perfect sense) is that digital refers to our digits. Our fingers are digital; as Eyman said “they help us make sense of the world. We use them for almost everything everything, especially writing. Which leads us to the fact that writing is digital.

Digital’s Importance

Digital is many things, except perfect. What we know for sure that it allows for different forms of communication. The beauty of digital it can be editted and restored. Back in the olden days we only had a handful of digital informational source which were BBC, NBC,CBS and ABC and the News Paper. Today, due to the improved development of technology our digital forms have a wider range. We still have some of the older forms , and as a result people tend to differentiate between new age media and old age. Trying to put importance on one over the other. To me there really isn’t that big of a difference; they do the same things. However, It all has to do with a person’s preference and their digital literacy. No everyone has the capability to keep up with the fast pace of new age technology, so those persons may choose a news paper over reading this blog i’m writing.
