Since online websites, individuals were able to make a new profile and identity for themselves. Or were they? Today, we have more techniques to expand out personal profile that lets viewers know more about ourselves. Before technology, there was little to no collaboration for adding other sources. The magic part about any web page that normal paper book or any other source that had information does not is that things are interchangeable. For example, I am able to change the links that I add to my profile on social media. To dive deeper, if I own a website, I am able to change anything about it. Before technology to give me the authority to do so, if I wanted to publish something, it was a one and done situation. A lot of final thought were considered, especially with fine ink. If I wanted any changes, I would have to start over on a new page or an entire new project.
Links from people’s profiles that lead to something else from interest is not always the best idea. One of the beauties of changing the profile is if people find interest in new things. This would typically be something that is up to date with society. This is very common for the social media platforms. It is easy to change one’s identity on social media. Another perk is if people have a change or alter in their personality.
